Karen Skene raising money for Team Stewart and Candles.

As the London Marathon finished last weekend, we would like to congratulate everyone in completing such an amazing challenge and raising money for charity. We now look forward to supporting Karen Skene, Conveyancing Assistant based in Kerseys Solicitors Ipswich office when she runs the Leeds marathon on Sunday 12 May 2024.

Having reached her target fundraising amount for “Team Stewart” Karen also wishes to raise awareness and support for “Candles”, a local, much smaller charity which is really close to her heart.  When Karen’s eldest grandson Noah was born nearly ten years ago, there was virtually no help or advice for a young mum with a baby who just happened to have Down Syndrome.  Karen’s daughter came together with a handful of other mums in her position and some weekends, and most school holidays, they plan amazing activities for their children, and just as importantly, their siblings.  They also give support to new mums of babies with Down Syndrome and send them love and support which is vital in those first few weeks.

Noah recently visited our Ipswich office to see where his nanny worked and look around our offices and say hello to some of the team, it was a pleasure to meet him and his big smile.
