Whilst there have not been a rise in reports to the police, the National Domestic Abuse Helpline reported a 120% rise in the number of calls it received in 24 hours as mentioned here on the Government Web Site.

For victims, “home is not the safe haven it should be”.

The government has advised anyone in danger or feeling threatened or victims of crimes and should call 999, if you are unable to talk press 55 on your mobile phone.

The police will still be there for you.
