About Laura Smith.
Laura Smith joined Kerseys Solicitors in Colchester as a Senior Associate Conveyancing Solicitor in July 2026.
Laura qualified as a Solicitor in 2007 after studying at the University of East Anglia and the University of West of England, Bristol. Laura completed her training contract with a firm based in Norwich and since qualification, Laura has specialised in residential property. After qualifying, Laura spent seven years practising in London before moving back to Essex and working in the local area.
Laura deals with all aspects of residential conveyancing including leasehold sales and purchases, shared ownership, new build purchases, transfers of part, right to buy and new builds.
Laura has always worked in residential conveyancing and very much enjoys working with clients to make the conveyancing process as smooth and efficient as possible.

Personal and Professional Interests
Laura grew up in Colchester, Essex and enjoys spending time with family and friends. Laura enjoys visiting new countries and places with her family, going to the gym, long walks and hikes, and watching musical theatre.
Laura has two sons who both enjoy football and Laura can often be found watching her son play football at the weekend.
